ABOUT
Studio Toute Garnie is a multi purpose recording studio located in the Mile-End neighbourhood of Montreal, QC. The room sounds warm and balanced and is set up to seamlessly transition between writing, rehearsing, recording and mixing. STG is centred around a well curated selection of instruments and tools to inspire great sounds and songwriting.
The studio was designed and built in 2010 by Grammy nominated producer and mixer, Damian Taylor. He operated it until 2016, as The Golden Ratio, during which time he worked with Bjork, The Killers, The Arcade Fire, AUSTRA, The Temper Trap, Gotye and many other great artists. In 2014 the band Braids mixed their album Deep in the Iris with Damian in this studio and a long term collaborative friendship began.
Currently owned and operated Braids, Raphaelle, Taylor and Austin strive to make Studio Toute Garnie an inspiring and approachable studio to make great music in. We’ve been privileged to have Chris Walla, Tim Hecker, Preoccupations, TOPS, No Joy, Devon Welsh, Narcy, Project Pablo, Blue Hawaii, Forever, Raveen and many others bring their music and projects through our doors.

Studio rental is $250/day.
We have in house engineers to help you with your project. Rates and availability vary so please get in touch to inquire further. Guest engineers who demonstrate a knowledge of recording are also welcome.
